Minister Zdrojewski described the success of the Chopin Year in Poland. Mrs President mentioned the investments and cultural events in the capital realised to celebrate the Jubilee Year. Waldemar Dąbrowski drew the attention to the echo the Chopin Year had beyond the borders of our country and in the world media.

According to estimations of the Ministry of Culture, in 2010, in total, 2600 artistic events took place in Poland and 3600 events took place abroad to celebrate the Chopin Year. Millions of people in Poland, Europe, Asia, both Americas and Australia met the composer and his music. World media talked about the Polish composer.

Bogdan Zdrojewski emphasized the unprecedented scale of the Chopin Year celebrations in Poland. Between 2005 - 2010, PLN 133.4 million were spent on preparations for the national celebration in the framework of the common governmental policy. Only in 2010 the amount reached PLN 29.3 million. These funds were mainly dedicated to revitalisation and development of the monuments related to the composer and to opening the Chopin Centre.
