Deutsche Grammophon invests in the Austrian

Ingolf Wunder, winner of the 2nd prize in the last year’s 16th International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition signed a phonographic contract with the famous record label.

At the same time Deutsche Grammophon resigned from the practice of cooperating with the winner of the Chopin Competition. Michael Lang, general director of the German record label appreciated the pianist by saying: "This is exceptionally talented pianist, with an unusual talent for focusing the audience’s attention on music and its beauty. It is a rare gift."

Publication of the first album of the artist is planned for June 2011. the CD will comprise exclusively solo piano compositions by Fryderyk Chopin. "It is an honor and a privilege. Every pianist dreams about recording for Deutsche Grammophon. I hope that my recordings will contribute with success to great artistic heritage of Deutsche Grammophon" - said Wunder at the moment of signing the contract.
