In February the Fryderyk Chopin Museum in Warsaw would like to invite parents with children to participate in a new cycle of educational workshops.

Every Saturday of February parents can leave their children under the animator's supervision and visit the exhibition. The workshops are divided into four thematic groups:

  1. Mr. Chopin and his music.

  2. Dancing steps!

  3. What is going on on the staves?

  4. Serene countryside, cheerful countryside! – folk music.

Each topic covers easy-to-follow talk, presentation of music excerpts and a discussion concerning the compositions together with a series of other exercises and music-and-movement games. The animator together with children sings folk songs, performs mini-plays, reads out poems and discovers notes.

"Saturdays with music" constitutes a way to make the youngest audience interested in music by Fryderyk Chopin and develops their skills of active listening to music. Moreover it is a great fun. Children can participate in educational games, listen to funny stories, and first of all they are exposed to a large quantity of music. Games are addressed to all children aged 3 to 10 which visit the museum.
