Meet the Author Event at the Chopin Museum
The Chopin Museum in Warsaw is holding a meeting to promote Lene Mayer-Skumanz’s book Cannons Hidden Among Flowers. The event will take place at noon on August 31st at the museum’s concert hall (1 Okólnik Street).
The Fryderyk Chopin Institute in Warsaw has prepared 50 sets of books and other gifts for the parents and children participating in the meeting. All guests will also be invited to visit the museum’s newly opened exhibition rooms.
Cannons Hidden Among Flowers is a richly illustrated publication addressed to children aged 6 and older. It is an engaging account of Chopin’s life in his native country and after he was forced to live abroad. The CD of Chopin’s compositions, supplementing the book, is a musical illustration of subsequent stages in the life of the composer.
