Opera "Chopin" by Giacomo Orefice

The premiere shows are going to feature acclaimed soloist Steven Harrison along with internationally recognised Polish artists, such as Mariusz Godlewski, Ewa Czermak, Ewa Vesin, Radosław Żukowski.
In the organisers’ words:
"The opera Chopin is made up entirely of Fryderyk Chopin’s compositions (fragments of more than a hundred of his pieces), which have been skilfully instrumented by the Italian composer Giacomo Orefice. The libretto by Angelo Orvieto comprises four totally independent images telling the story of Fryderyk Chopin’s life, each focusing on a different season of the year. The opera’s world premiere took place in Milan’s Teatro Lirico on the 25th of November, 1901, raising the composer to fame and promoting the great Pole’s genius music.”
