The final day of the Chopin and His Europe Festival taking place in Warsaw will feature Arcadi Volodos, Stanisław Bunin and Evgeni Bozhanov.
The Chopin Museum in Warsaw is holding a meeting to promote Lene Mayer-Skumanz’s book Cannons Hidden Among Flowers. The event will take place at noon on August 31st at the museum’s concert hall (1 Okólnik Street).
This year’s Salzburger Festspiele (July 27th – August 30th) marks Chopin’s birth bicentenary with a set of excellent concerts.
Each Sunday from June 20th to August 8 at 7 p.m. you may listen to Chopin recitals by renowned pianists from Poland and the world over. The concerts are held at the Crown Tribunal’s Hall in Lublin.
The official website of the Chopin Year – chopin2010.pl – was present at the Open’er Festival in the Polish coastal city of Gdynia. Thousands of young people flocked to our stand set up in the NGO section in the course of three days.
